A family was involved in a hit-and-run crash at an intersection in El Cajon on Saturday morning, April 18, 2026.
According to local authorities, the incident occurred around 11 a.m. at the intersection of Mollison Avenue and Washington Avenue.
Reports indicate that a pickup truck carrying a man, his wife, and their two young children was traveling southbound on Mollison Avenue and had stopped at a red light.
After the light turned green, the driver proceeded into the intersection, where a white sedan traveling eastbound on Washington Avenue struck the truck. The sedan then fled the scene.
The driver’s wife was transported to a hospital and is experiencing ongoing back pain. The children were reportedly shaken, but no additional injuries were specified. The pickup truck sustained significant damage and may be considered a total loss.
