[04-22-2024] Two People Injured Following Two-Vehicle Collision in HesperiaTwo people were injured following a two-vehicle collision in Hesperia on Monday afternoon, April 22, 2024.

According to the authorities, the traffic crash happened at about 12:13 p.m. along Bear Valley Road, east of Second Avenue and near the entrance of Tom’s Famous Family Restaurant.

Authorities confirmed that the crash involved a white 2006 Toyota Camry Solara and a Chevrolet van. The Chevrolet was reportedly traveling west on Bear Valley Road, about to turn into the southbound lane of Second Avenue, when it was hit by an eastbound Toyota. 

It is said that the Toyota had run the red light and was turning south into the nearby shopping center when the accident occurred.

The male driver of the Chevy sustained major injuries to his arm and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The female driver of the Toyota, meanwhile, suffered a possible injury to the head and minor injuries to the arm. She was airlifted to a trauma center to recover.

It is still unclear why the female driver failed to stop at the red light. The authorities are still investigating.
