According to the Madera CHP, the crash occurred on Avenue 12 between Riverstone Boulevard S/E and Road 40, blocking the roadway.
Photos from the scene show a semi-truck carrying an oversized load, with the escort vehicle, usually accompanying wide-load transports, positioned on the concrete divider.
Traffic was rerouted to Road 40 and Riverwalk Boulevard while crews worked to clear the scene.
