A vehicle crashed into a home in Sacramento on Thursday afternoon, April 23, 2026, causing significant damage to the garage and a nearby gas meter.

According to the Sacramento Fire Department, crews responded shortly after 4 p.m. to the 7900 block of Deerleaf Drive for reports of a collision involving a structure.

Firefighters arrived to find a vehicle that had driven into the home’s garage, causing damage to the side of the house and a nearby gas meter.

One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, though it was unclear whether the injured person was the driver or someone inside the garage at the time of the crash.
