A 44-year-old man was killed, and a woman was seriously injured in a rollover crash on Interstate 5 near Stuhr Road in Stanislaus County on Saturday morning, April 25, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 10:40 a.m. as the driver was traveling northbound on I-5 when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle veered into the center median and overturned.
Authorities stated that the vehicle landed on its roof on the southbound shoulder of the freeway. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger, identified as 32-year-old Angela Q., sustained major injuries and was transported by helicopter to a local hospital.
Officials reported that seat belts were in use and that no other vehicles were involved in the crash. It is not known whether DUI was a factor.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
