[04-27-2024] Four Children Injured Following Suspected DUI Collision in Cupertino Four children were injured following a suspected DUI collision in Cupertino on Saturday evening, April 27, 2024. 

According to the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office, the collision happened around 6:14 p.m. at the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Stevens Creek Boulevard. 

Authorities stated that the victims, ages 4,7,8, and 11, were on a sidewalk when a silver Mazda pickup truck struck a power pole and crashed into them. One of the children suffered severe injuries and remained in critical condition on Monday evening.

Police said that the driver, identified as Adam W.,38, of Cupertino, was suspected of driving under the influence of narcotics. He was arrested and booked into a jail in San Jose following the collision. 

Anyone with information regarding the crash is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office Traffic Investigative Division at 408-868-6600.

No further information was released. The investigation continues.
