A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in Porterville on Sunday night, April 28, 2024.
According to the Porterville Police Department, the crash happened around 9:00 p.m. in the area of 1000 West Westfield Avenue.
Authorities stated that the pedestrian was walking eastbound on Westfield Avenue in the westbound lane when a silver Honda approaching westbound struck them. The victim sustained injuries and was taken to the nearest hospital.
Officials said that the driver of the vehicle refused to stop and drove away after the collision. While there are damages to the vehicle left at the scene, the model of Honda remains unknown.
