One person was killed, while another was injured, following a two-vehicle head-on crash in Arden-Arcade, Sacramento County, on Wednesday morning, May 1, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly collision happened just before 9:00 a.m. at the Watt Avenue and El Camino Avenue intersection.
CHP said that the incident involved an SUV and a Prius. One of them, still unclear which vehicle, reportedly ran a red light, causing a head-on collision that sent the SUV crashing into a light pole nearby.
The SUV driver was killed, while the Prius driver was treated and released after sustaining a minor injury. The identities of both drivers were not disclosed.
