[05-02-2026] San Diego County, CA – Motorcyclist Injured in Five-Vehicle Crash on I-15 Near Rainbow Valley North

A motorcyclist was injured following a five-vehicle crash in San Diego County on Saturday afternoon, May 2, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported around 2:07 p.m. on the southbound Interstate 15 near Rainbow Valley North.

Authorities stated that the crash involved multiple vehicles, including two motorcycles, a white BMW SUV, a white Ford F-150, and a white van. Investigators also reported that one motorcycle rider was found down in the center divider with a possible broken right wrist.

Debris from the collision was scattered across all lanes, and several motorists stopped to assist at the scene. Officials stated that one of the motorcycles had reportedly been splitting lanes prior to the crash.
