One person was killed, and two others were injured following a head-on collision in Oro Grande, San Bernardino County, on Wednesday morning, May 13, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 6:56 a.m. on National Trails Highway west of Robinson Ranch Road.
Authorities reported that a burgundy Dodge Ram pickup truck traveling northbound collided head-on with a dark-colored Chevrolet Suburban traveling southbound.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and confirmed that the male driver of the Chevrolet Suburban died from injuries sustained in the collision. A female passenger inside the SUV was extricated from the wreckage and transported by ambulance to St. Mary Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Firefighters also extricated the driver of the Dodge Ram from the vehicle. Officials requested a medical helicopter to transport the driver to Victor Valley Global Medical Center for treatment.
The investigation remains ongoing.
