A bicyclist was killed following a bicycle vs. vehicle crash in Stockton early Tuesday morning, May 14, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision happened at about 3:10 a.m. on southbound Interstate 5 near the Hammer Lane offramp.
CHP officers said that the bicyclist was near the highway’s center divider when a white Lexus sedan suddenly struck them for still unknown reasons. It was not disclosed yet whether the victim was pronounced dead at the scene or succumbed to the injuries sustained at the hospital.
