A woman was injured in a hit-and-run crash on Highway 115 east of Evan Hewes Highway in Imperial County early Thursday morning, May 15, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 6:00 a.m. A Honda involved in the incident was later found in a nearby field, where officers located the woman inside the vehicle with bruising and chest injuries.
She was transported to El Centro Regional Medical Center for treatment. The other vehicle involved in the crash fled the scene before officers arrived.
The CHP is actively investigating the hit-and-run.
