[05-21-2024] Two People Injured Following Fiery Single-Vehicle Crash Along Highway 4 in Antioch Two people were injured following a fiery single-vehicle crash in Antioch on Tuesday afternoon, May 21, 2024. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fiery collision happened along Highway 4 in Antioch. 

Authorities stated that a mother and her 3-year-old girl were trapped inside a burning car following a rollover collision. A witness told the authorities that he found the little girl strapped in the car seat and the mother climbing out of the vehicle. He then rescued the victims before the car blew up in flames. 

Police said that the mother suffered minor injuries, and the child sustained cuts due to broken glasses. Both were transported to the hospital for immediate treatment. It is unknown what caused the collision. 

No further information was released, and the authorities are gathering all the necessary details to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
