According to the authorities, the incident occurred at about 2:09 a.m. around the intersection of East Hamilton Avenue and South Bascom Avenue.

The circumstances behind the accident remain unclear, but it was confirmed that the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle driven by a drunk man. The victim, who remains unnamed, sustained an unspecified injury as a result of the crash.

Authorities were able to get a hold of the drunk driver and had a word with him. The driver was said to have had bloodshot, watery eyes while talking to the authorities. He later admitted to drinking alcoholic beverages at the time of the incident.
