A 95-year-old woman was killed following a multi-vehicle crash in Irvine on Tuesday morning, May 26, 2026.
According to the Irvine Police Department, the collision occurred around 9:12 a.m. at the intersection of Irvine Center Drive and Valley Oak Drive.
Authorities reported that the woman was driving a Toyota RAV4 and entered the intersection while the light was red.
Two other vehicles, a Dodge Ram and a Tesla Model 3, were traveling through the intersection on a green light when the crash occurred. The RAV4 struck the Dodge Ram, which was then pushed into the Tesla.
The 95-year-old driver was transported to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries. Officials stated that the other drivers were not injured.
The victim’s identity has not been released pending notification of her family. Police continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
