[05-28-2024] Injuries Reported Following Hit-And-Run Collisions Along Claybank Road and Meadowlark DriveInjuries were reported following hit-and-run collisions in Fairfield on Tuesday morning, May 28, 2024. 

According to the Fairfield Police Department, the crash happened along Claybank Road and westbound on Meadowlark Drive. 

Authorities stated that a stolen vehicle was reported around the area of East Tabor Avenue and Grande Circle. The responding officers found the car in the parking lot of an apartment complex along Claybank Road. 

The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Damarrea N., tried to escape by ramming through the north gate of the complex and fleeing onto Claybank Road. He drove westbound on Meadowlark Drive and was involved in two hit-and-run crashes, which resulted in injuries.

Details on the extent of injuries, as well as the number of people injured, were not immediately available. The suspect was apprehended after the victims reported his location to the police. He was booked into County Jail. 

Further information on the collision has yet to be released by the authorities. Investigations are ongoing.
