At least one person was injured following a three-vehicle crash on the northbound Interstate 5 freeway near Avenida Presidio in San Clemente on Wednesday morning, May 28, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at approximately 8:21 a.m. and involved a Toyota van, a white Lexus, and a semi-truck. The impact caused debris to scatter across several lanes, severely slowing traffic in the northbound direction.
Authorities confirmed that at least one person sustained injuries in the crash, though the extent of the injuries was not specified.
Additionally, the incident resulted in a spill of approximately 30 gallons of oil onto the roadway and caused damage to an electrical box. Cleanup and investigation efforts led to prolonged traffic delays.
