[05-28-2026] San Bernardino County, CA – Two Semi-Trucks Collide on I-15 in Victorville

Two semi-trucks collided on southbound Interstate 15 in Victorville early Thursday morning, May 28, 2026.

According to California Highway Patrol traffic logs, the collision was reported around 2:32 a.m. between La Mesa Road and Palmdale Road. 

Authorities stated that one semi was partially overturned and came to rest off the roadway near Amargosa Road, while the second semi remained upright on the freeway shoulder, though its trailer sustained significant rear damage, and debris was scattered across the lanes.

CHP logs indicated that one truck was hauling approximately 41,000 pounds of corrosive liquids, while the other truck was carrying cargo packages, including about 33,000 pounds of Amazon goods, which spilled onto the roadway. Initial reports noted that the semi-truck driver appeared dazed but remained inside the vehicle.

A SIG Alert was issued at approximately 3:46 a.m., closing lanes near Amargosa Road between Luna Road and Mariposa Road. Responders confirmed that the dry hazardous materials did not appear to be leaking, and crews worked to secure the scene. Tow and recovery crews were requested to remove the disabled trucks.

No information regarding injuries was immediately available. 

The Victorville CHP Station is handling the investigation, and authorities continue to examine the cause of the crash.
