A pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle while reportedly jaywalking in Fresno on Thursday night, May 29, 2025.
According to the Fresno Police Department, the incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. on Cedar Avenue, just south of Shaw Avenue.
Authorities stated that a vehicle traveling southbound on Cedar Avenue struck the pedestrian, who was crossing outside of the designated crosswalk.
Emergency responders transported the pedestrian to a hospital, where they were listed in critical but stable condition.
Police confirmed that the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
