[05-29-2026] Solano County, CA – Man Killed After Being Struck By Garbage Truck on Gateway Drive in Dixon

A man was killed after being struck by an industrial garbage truck in Dixon on Friday morning, May 29, 2026.

According to Dixon police, officers responded shortly before 9 a.m. to the 100 block of Gateway Drive, just east of Interstate 80, after a 911 caller reported that a man was pinned between the truck and a cinderblock wall.

The victim was identified as 50-year-old Kristopher P. of Vacaville and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the incident has not been released. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Dixon Police Department at (707) 678-7070.
