[05-30-2024] At Least One Person Injured Following Two-Vehicle Crash Near Sunrise Boulevard in Citrus HeightsAt least one person was injured following a two-vehicle crash in Citrus Heights on Thursday morning, May 30, 2024. 

According to the responding officials, the crash happened at about 6:41 a.m. on Antelope Road near Sunrise Boulevard.

Authorities stated that a car traveling at 10 mph was struck by a vehicle driving at around 50 mph. At least one person was injured and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The victim was identified only as a man, and the extent of his injuries was unknown. 

The role of drugs and alcohol is still under investigation. Details on how the crash happened have yet to be released by the responding officers. 

No additional information was provided, and the investigation continues.
