[05-30-2026] San Diego County, CA – Two-Vehicle Rollover Crash on Westbound I-8 Near I-15 in Grantville

A two-vehicle crash, including a rollover, caused traffic disruptions on westbound Interstate 8 near the I-15 interchange in the Grantville area, San Diego County, on Saturday morning, May 30, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported around 8:18 a.m. CHP stated that one vehicle rolled over and came to rest on its roof in the roadway, while another disabled vehicle was located near the right lane leading to the I-15 exit.

Authorities noted that the rollover vehicle’s driver had exited the vehicle. CHP logs indicated that one of the vehicles may have been traveling at a high rate of speed and weaving between lanes prior to the collision, though it has not been confirmed if this contributed to the crash.
