[05-31-2026] San Luis Obispo County, CA – Four Injured in Traffic Collision on Highway 46 Near Jardine Rd.

Four people sustained minor injuries following a traffic collision on Highway 46 in San Luis Obispo on Sunday afternoon, May 31, 2026.

According to California Highway Patrol dispatch logs, the crash temporarily blocked both westbound lanes of Highway 46 East near Jardine Road, with one lane reopening around 4:05 p.m. CHP and San Luis Obispo County Fire Department personnel responded to the scene.

Authorities reported that all occupants were out of the involved vehicles when emergency crews arrived. A gray Kia blocking the intersection was towed after being reported for obstructing traffic.

Four patients were evaluated with minor injuries. The cause of the collision and the total number of vehicles involved have not been confirmed.

The investigation remains ongoing.
