A 17-year-old boy was killed, and several others were injured following a crash involving a Dodge Charger in Adelanto early Sunday morning, June 7, 2026.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded around 2:37 a.m. to a crash near Rancho Road and Lilac Road. Emergency personnel from the San Bernardino County Fire Department and American Medical Response also responded.
Authorities stated that a 2013 Dodge Charger, carrying eight teenagers, was traveling eastbound at an excessive speed when the driver lost control near the intersection of Lilac Road. The vehicle left the roadway and rolled onto its side. The Charger is designed to seat five occupants, and at least one occupant was ejected during the crash.
Six occupants were transported to a nearby hospital with injuries. The 17-year-old male occupant later succumbed to his injuries. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Regional Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T.) responded and assumed control of the investigation.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
