[06-08-2024] One Person Killed, Another Injured Following Multi-Vehicle Collision on Santa Ana Freeway One person was killed, and another was injured following a multi-vehicle collision in Orange on early Saturday morning, June 8, 2024. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at about 3:35 a.m. on the northbound Santa Ana (5) Freeway at the Garden Grove (22) Freeway. 

Officials said that one person was declared dead at the scene, and at least one person was transported to the hospital. The extent of injuries and the condition of the latter victim remain unclear. At this time, the identities of the parties involved were not disclosed. 

Authorities stated that several vehicles were involved in the collision. The circumstances leading to the crash were not yet available, and the role of drugs and alcohol is being investigated by the police.

No further details were released, and the authorities are gathering all the necessary information to determine the cause of the accident.
