A head-on collision involving two vehicles resulted in suspected major injuries on Green Valley Road near Lexi Way in Placerville, El Dorado County, on Monday, June 8, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash caused significant damage, including to a utility pole. Emergency crews responded to the scene to investigate and clear the roadway.
Authorities reported that roads in the area are beginning to reopen, but law enforcement advised the public to use alternate routes while the investigation continues.
