At least two people were hospitalized, including one with major injuries, following a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 119 near Valley Acres in Kern County on Tuesday morning, June 10, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported just before 10:00 a.m. near Tamarisk. The collision involved a tractor-trailer, two pickup trucks, and a passenger vehicle.
The victim in the passenger vehicle suffered major injuries and had to be extricated by Kern County firefighters. The truck driver was also transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Three other individuals were reported to be walking around the scene and did not require immediate transport.
The truck involved in the crash was carrying scrap metal and overturned, scattering debris across the roadway.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
