Three people were injured, including one who was trapped inside a burning vehicle, following a two-vehicle crash in Oakdale on Thursday night, June 12, 2025.
According to the Modesto Fire Department, the collision occurred around 9:00 p.m. at the intersection of Lon Dale Road and Cleveland Avenue.
Emergency crews arrived to find two vehicles roughly 150 yards apart, with one fully engulfed in flames and a person pinned inside.
Firefighters quickly worked to extinguish the fire and free the trapped individual. Additional emergency resources were requested at the scene.
The two drivers were airlifted to nearby hospitals, while a third person was transported by ground ambulance. The extent of their injuries was not yet known as of Friday morning.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
