A man in his 50s was injured and hospitalized after being struck in a hit-and-run incident in Fresno on Friday night, June 13, 2025.
According to the Fresno Police Department, officers responded around 9:18 p.m. to the area of Ashlan Avenue and Effie Street following a report that a pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle. When officers arrived, they found the man receiving aid from bystanders.
Police believe the victim may have been under the influence at the time. He told officers he had been involved in a nearby altercation and was fleeing the scene when he was struck by a car.
The man was transported to a local hospital for treatment. His condition has not been disclosed.
The hit-and-run remains under investigation by the Fresno Police Department.
