According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported around 4:00 p.m. between the Lookout Roadhouse and South Main Divide Road.

Preliminary details indicate that the pickup and a sedan may have collided head-on, causing the truck to overturn and land on its roof in the center of the two-lane highway, completely blocking traffic in both directions.

Initial reports suggested the occupants of the pickup may have been trapped, but they were later seen standing outside the vehicle while waiting for emergency responders. It remains unclear whether anyone in the sedan sustained injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.
