A juvenile on an off-highway electric motorcycle suffered major injuries after being struck in a hit-and-run crash involving a vehicle in Kings County on Sunday night, June 14, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred shortly after 9 p.m. at the intersection of 17th Avenue and Hanford-Armona Road.
Authorities reported that the boy was riding northbound when a dark-colored sedan traveling in the same direction approached from behind and collided with the rear of the eMoto.
The impact ejected the rider, who sustained major injuries. Emergency responders transported the victim to Kaweah Health Medical Center for treatment.
Investigators said the driver of the sedan fled the scene without stopping to render aid or provide information. The suspect vehicle is described as a dark-colored sedan with possible damage to the right front bumper and was last seen traveling westbound on Lacey Boulevard.
Authorities continue to investigate the hit-and-run and are asking anyone with information to contact the California Highway Patrol.
