[06-14-2026] Santa Barbara County, CA – Two Injured After Vehicle Crashes Into Tree on Shoreline and Loma Alta Dr.

Two people were hospitalized after a single-vehicle crash involving a tree in Santa Barbara on Sunday afternoon, June 14, 2026.

According to the Santa Barbara Police Department, multiple 911 calls were received shortly after 1 p.m. reporting a rollover crash at the intersection of Shoreline and Loma Alta drives. 

Responding officers and Santa Barbara City Fire Department personnel found that the vehicle had struck a tree rather than overturning.

Authorities reported that four occupants were inside the vehicle. The driver and one other occupant were transported to Cottage Hospital for further medical treatment. The conditions of those hospitalized were not immediately released.

Police stated that they are investigating the circumstances of the crash, including whether impairment may have been a factor.

The investigation remains ongoing.
