A 21-year-old man suffered serious injuries after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Huntington Beach on Sunday night, June 22, 2025.
According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, the incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Utica Avenue.
Officers responded to the scene at 10:35 p.m., where they found the man unconscious in the roadway. The vehicle that struck him had already fled the scene.
The victim, identified as Anthony C., sustained multiple injuries, including shattered legs, broken ribs, and a fractured collarbone. He was transported to a trauma center for treatment.
Bystanders Bob and Susie T. witnessed the aftermath of the crash and immediately stopped to help. They blocked traffic, called 911, and stayed with Anthony until first responders arrived. The police confirmed that their actions were crucial in providing immediate aid.
The hit-and-run suspect remains unidentified. Authorities are continuing their investigation and are urging anyone with information to contact the Huntington Beach Police Department.
