One person was killed, and another sustained injuries in a head-on collision involving a Toyota Tundra and a semi-truck on Manning Avenue in Fresno County on Monday morning, June 22, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 5:30 a.m. east of Chateau Fresno.
The Toyota Tundra, traveling westbound, collided head-on with the semi-truck. The Tundra flipped and caught fire, and the driver was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.
The semi-truck driver went off the road into a nearby vineyard and sustained minor injuries. The driver was transported to Community Regional Medical Center.
Authorities are investigating whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
