A pedestrian died following a hit-and-run crash involving a parked vehicle in Sacramento on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.
According to Sacramento Police, the crash occurred in the 3400 block of Ramona Avenue, south of Folsom Boulevard near Granite Regional Park. Investigators said a driver struck a parked vehicle, causing it to hit a man nearby.
Authorities reported that the driver fled the scene, and the vehicle was later located abandoned. The pedestrian was transported to a hospital but later died from his injuries.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity after next-of-kin notification.
The investigation remains ongoing.
