[06-24-2026] San Diego County, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash at I-805 Off-Ramp in Chula Vista

A crash involving at least two vehicles occurred at a construction zone off-ramp in Chula Vista on Wednesday morning, June 24, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened before 7 a.m. at the Interstate 805 off-ramp to Telegraph Canyon Road and L Street. 

One of the vehicles reportedly struck construction equipment located on the right shoulder of the roadway.

Authorities reported that approximately 10 yellow, sand-filled attenuator bins were damaged in the crash. A SigAlert was issued at 7:41 a.m., and the off-ramp was closed for emergency repairs to the guardrail.

Traffic in the area experienced significant delays as crews worked at the scene. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
