A 46-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Santa Ana on Sunday morning, June 29, 2025.
According to the Santa Ana Police Department, the incident occurred just before 5:30 a.m. in the area of Harbor Boulevard and Hazard Avenue.
The victim, later identified as David W. of Santa Ana, was found unresponsive in the southbound lanes of Harbor Boulevard. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Investigators said the victim was walking westbound through the traffic lanes when he was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound. The driver fled the scene prior to police arrival.
Following an investigation by the Collision Investigation Unit, officers identified and arrested 63-year-old Miguel O. of Tustin in the city of Orange. He was booked into the Santa Ana Jail for felony hit-and-run.
The investigation remains ongoing.
