[07-02-2024] Sacramento County, CA – Two People Hospitalized Following Multi-Vehicle Crash Along Highway 50

Two people were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle crash in Sacramento on Tuesday morning, July 2, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at about 9:38 a.m. on eastbound Highway 50 near the off-ramp for 15th Street.

Officers reported that at least four vehicles were involved in the freeway accident. How the collision started and who was at fault remain unclear.

The total number of people affected was also undisclosed, but a man and a woman were reportedly rushed to the hospital. Their identities and current conditions were not immediately available. 

Authorities are still examining all the evidence found on-scene to determine the factors that may have contributed to the collision.
