A crash involving three vehicles, including a semi-truck, caused a fire and traffic delays on Highway 99 in Bakersfield on Wednesday afternoon, July 2, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at approximately 3:34 p.m. on the northbound side of Highway 99 near Hosking Road.
Authorities reported that at least one of the vehicles involved caught fire following the impact.
CHP confirmed that the number 1, 2, and 3 lanes remained open, while the number 4 lane was closed due to the fire response.
No information has been released yet regarding injuries or the cause of the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
