Two people were hospitalized following a hit-and-run crash involving a semi-truck and an SUV on Interstate 10 in Indio on Thursday morning, July 3, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 11:00 a.m. on the eastbound side of I-10, just west of Monroe Street.
An SUV traveling in the slow lane reportedly collided with a semi-truck, causing the SUV to lose control and overturn onto the right shoulder.
The driver and a passenger were transported to a nearby hospital after reporting pain.
CHP is investigating the incident as a hit-and-run, as the semi-truck involved did not remain at the scene. The party at fault has not been determined.
