[07-08-2026] Fresno County, CA – FedEx Box Truck Overturns After Collision With Mazda at American Ave. and Golden State Blvd.

A FedEx box truck overturned after being struck by a Mazda in Fresno on Wednesday afternoon, July 8, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded around 3:15 p.m. at the intersection of American Avenue and Golden State Boulevard.

The FedEx truck was traveling westbound on American Avenue, while the Mazda was heading south on Golden State Boulevard. Authorities said the Mazda attempted a right turn at an unknown high rate of speed when the two vehicles collided, causing the box truck to overturn onto its left side and block the roadway.

Both drivers, the only occupants of their respective vehicles, sustained minor injuries.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
