[07-08-2026] San Luis Obispo County, CA – Motorcyclist Injured in Crash With Vehicle South of Avila Beach Dr.

A motorcyclist was injured in a crash involving a vehicle on Highway 101 south of San Luis Obispo on Wednesday afternoon, July 8, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported around 4:06 p.m. south of Avila Beach Drive.

Reports indicate that a black Range Rover struck the motorcyclist and attempted to leave the scene.

Emergency crews responded and treated the motorcyclist for moderate injuries. Some vehicles stopped to assist, and a tow truck was dispatched to remove the vehicles involved.

The CHP continues to investigate the incident.
