A man was killed and a woman sustained serious injuries after a speeding vehicle crashed and overturned in Napa County on Friday night, July 11, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. on westbound State Highway 12, just west of Kirkland Ranch Road.
Authorities reported that a black Nissan 350Z was traveling at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control while approaching a curve. The car entered the center median, then veered sharply to the right, went airborne, and rolled several times after striking multiple objects before coming to rest in a dirt and grass field north of the highway.
Both occupants were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and the female passenger was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
CHP investigators believe alcohol was a factor in the collision. The investigation is ongoing.
