[07-11-2026] Orange County, CA – Motorcyclist Killed in Collision With Amazon Delivery Truck in Huntington Beach

A 22-year-old motorcyclist was fatally injured after colliding with the rear of an Amazon delivery truck in Huntington Beach on Saturday evening, July 11, 2026.

According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, officers responded around 8:30 p.m. to the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Slater Avenue, where they found the motorcyclist, a Costa Mesa resident, unconscious in the roadway. The rider was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities reported that the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Beach Boulevard, south of Slater Avenue, when he lost control and struck the rear of a gray Amazon delivery truck traveling in the same direction.

The truck driver, a 27-year-old man from Santa Ana, was uninjured and cooperated with investigators. Preliminary reports indicate that impairment does not appear to be a factor in the truck driver’s case, and it is unknown whether it was a factor in the motorcyclist’s case.
