A woman who was struck by a vehicle while crossing Capitol Expressway in San Jose died from her injuries days after the crash, which occurred early Sunday morning, July 13, 2025.
According to the San Jose Police Department, the collision was reported at 4:33 a.m. at the intersection of Capitol Expressway and Senter Road.
Authorities said the driver of a black 2024 Mitsubishi Mirage was traveling eastbound on Capitol Expressway when he struck the woman crossing the road.
The victim was taken to a hospital and initially stabilized with life-threatening injuries. On Wednesday, police confirmed that she had died.
The driver remained at the scene and was not injured. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
