[07-13-2026] Fresno County, CA – One Killed in Rear-End Crash at Maple and Gettysburg Ave.

A person was killed in a rear-end crash in Northeast Fresno just before noon on Monday, July 13, 2026.

According to Fresno Police, the collision occurred at the intersection of Maple and Gettysburg avenues when a white Ford F-150 rear-ended a black car. 

The driver of the black car was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford F-150 was taken to a hospital, though their condition has not been released. 

Two parked vehicles along Gettysburg Avenue were also involved in the crash. Debris from the collision scattered across the roadway, prompting a temporary road closure while investigators processed the scene. 

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
