[07-13-2026] Riverside County, CA – One Killed, Another Injured After Pickup Truck Overturns on Fred Waring Dr. in Indio

One person was killed, and another was injured after a pickup truck overturned in Indio on Monday morning, July 13, 2026.

According to the Indio Police Department, the crash occurred around 8:13 a.m. on Fred Waring Drive.

Authorities stated that a blue Toyota Tundra traveling westbound appeared to lose control, overturning and ejecting both adult occupants.

An adult man, believed to be in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. A second occupant was injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment. 

While initial reports suggested involvement of a second vehicle, investigators confirmed that another vehicle only struck debris from the crash and was not part of the original collision.

The Indio Police Department’s Traffic Unit has assumed the investigation.
