A 27-year-old man from the Riverside area was killed after his motorcycle rear-ended a pickup truck on State Route 67 in Santee on Monday night, July 14, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred shortly before 9:00 p.m. when the motorcyclist, riding a 2024 Harley-Davidson, was traveling southbound on SR-67 and collided with the rear of a 2006 Ford F-150 north of Woodside Avenue.
The impact ejected the rider onto the roadway. Witnesses attempted CPR before paramedics arrived and took over life-saving efforts. The man was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. His identity has not yet been released pending notification of his family.
The driver of the pickup, a 46-year-old man from Lakeside, was not injured.
CHP officials stated that the cause of the crash remains under investigation. It is currently unknown whether drugs or alcohol were factors.
