A 61-year-old pedestrian was killed after being struck by a motorcycle in Gilroy on Tuesday night, July 15, 2025.
According to the Gilroy Police Department, the collision occurred shortly before 8:00 p.m. near Santa Teresa Boulevard and Ballybunion Drive.
Responding officers found both the pedestrian and the 53-year-old motorcyclist, a Gilroy resident, in the roadway.
Authorities said the motorcyclist sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The pedestrian suffered major injuries and was transported to a hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.
The Gilroy Police Major Accident Investigation Team is conducting the investigation.
