[07-16-2026] Kern County, CA – Three-Vehicle Collision Causes Minor Injuries on Highway 58 in Bakersfield

A three-vehicle crash caused traffic delays on eastbound Highway 58 in Bakersfield on Thursday afternoon, July 16, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 4:15 p.m. just west of Madison Street and east of Union Avenue. 

The vehicles involved included a red Ram pickup, a white truck with a trailer, and a black SUV. The red pickup reportedly struck a guardrail during the crash.

Authorities reported that the collision resulted in minor injuries. Emergency responders cleared the scene, and drivers were advised to expect delays in the area.

The CHP continues to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
